I often run across people who offer to volunteer but it always comes with the caveat “I’ll do anything I just won’t ask for money.” As a fundraiser I find this really quite surprising. I have only been a professional fundraiser for 4 years but I think I was always a fundraiser. I have never had a problem asking for money for a cause I believed in. (Good thing considering my current line of work)

Summertime and the Giving is easy
I love summer – can’t help it everything about it is awesome. I never complain about the heat no matter how hot it gets. I love the beach and don’t mind the sand that trails through my house afterwards because there is nothing more relaxing that sitting by the ocean. I could never live far from the ocean because I would just miss it too darn much. I have even been known to head to the beach at sunrise in December to get the “perfect picture”.
