Rock for a Cause: Hospital Patient's Way To Pay It Forward

One never knows how important having access to local healthcare is until you need it.

Less than two years ago, a sudden medical issue landed local restaurant server & musician Christopher Craig at South Shore Regional Hospital. Craig spent nearly six months recovering on the hospital’s Medical/Surgical Unit, crediting its medical team with saving his life.

“I felt the staff went above and beyond to provide me with the care I needed and kept me as comfortable as possible,” notes Craig. “It is my goal to give back to those who helped me.”

Craig organized Rock for a Cause, a fundraiser featuring what some consider a form of medicine: music. Rock for a Cause is a fundraiser for the Health Services Foundation of the South Shore. Funds raised will go towards purchasing needed equipment for the Medical/Surgical Unit at South Shore Regional Hospital.

On March 27th Rock for a Cause will take over The River Pub (where Craig works) featuring bands Midlife Crisis & the Millennials and Cosmic Breach. On top of the $20 ticket, proceeds will be raise through a silent auction, 50/50 and a special dining menu.
